NFL Waiver Wire Picks: Week 11

Teams on BYE: Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints

QB: Joshua Dobbs – Minnesota Vikings

-38.5% rostered

-25.12 points against the New Orleans Saints

-23/34 for 268 yards and a TD. Added 8 rushes for 44 yards and a TD

This is the second time Dobbs has made my waiver wire segment but this time he is on a different team. Joshua Dobbs has been incredible as a Viking. Since being traded before week 9, he has scored 50.04 fantasy points. The fact that he has been doing this good, despite only being there for two weeks, speaks volumes. As he gets more familiar with his teammates and the playbook, he level of play should increase as well. As a mentioned weeks ago, a rushing QB is a good fantasy QB and Dobbs is just that. 110 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs over the last 2 games. Up next Dobbs plays against the Denver Broncos who allow the 3rd most fantasy points to QBs.

RB: Devin Singletary – Houston Texans

-49.8% rostered

-23.1 points against the Cincinnati Bengals

-30 rushes for 150 yards and a TD. Added 1 rec for 11 yards

The Houston Texans are a quietly a very good offensive team as of late. Anyone on that offensive side of the ball is benefitting from CJ Stroud’s amazing level of play especially Devin Singletary. Since Dameon Pierce is still out with an ankle injury, Singletary took first team reps and responded with a career day. It looks like Pierce will be out at least another week as he was unable to practice at all last week. As I mentioned earlier, Stroud is playing incredible. Defenses have to respect his arm and are unable to stack the box which leaves running lanes for Singletary and HC Demeco Ryans likes to run the ball anyway so it all works out. The Texans play the Arizona Cardinals next week who allow an average of 26 fantasy points to opposing running backs which is the 3rd most in the league this season.

 WR: Odell Beckham Jr.

-42.7% rostered

-11 points against Cleveland Browns

-1 reception on 2 targets for 40 yards and a TD

=It’s no secret that the Ravens and Lamar Jackson wants to get OBJ more integrated in the Raven’s offense. 2 TDs over the last 2 games speaks to how much Jackson trusts him and wants him to be successful. I understand that 1 reception on 2 targets doesn’t look great in terms of volume but outside of this last game, he has been targeted 22 times in the 4 games prior. Not going to lie, the main reason I love this pick so much was watching him take that slant to the house. He looked like OG OBJ with his speed and swagger. If he can keep this up, he might be a very formidable weapon in his last year in the league.

TE: Trey McBride – Arizona Cardinals

-49.7% rostered

-21.1 points against Atlanta Falcons

-8 receptions on 9 targets for 131 yards

HOW IS HE STILL UNDER 50% ROSTERED?!? I guess you guys get a second chance to grab him if you weren’t smart enough to grab him the first time I mentioned him. McBride has scored 51.8 points over the last 3 weeks and this last week he proved it didn’t matter who is under center. With Kyler Murray returning and making his season debut, McBride was his go-to guy. Even the broadcast was saying how McBride isn’t a normal TE and can run WR type routes. The one thing McBride was missing was a TD but the more comfortable Murray gets, the more chances McBride will have. Once again, get him while you can. It wont be long before you can’t anymore. Oh, and he plays against the Texans next game who allow the 7th most amount of fantasy points to TEs.
