NFL Power Rankings: Week 13

16 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-6)

PR - 15

Tom Brady is no longer undefeated since getting divorced! Even though they lost to the Browns in OT, they are still in first place in the NFC South. There is also major cause for concern with their offensive line as All Pro RT Tristan Wirfs went down due to injury. The already porous O Line gets much worse.

15 – New York Giants (7-4)

PR – 9

The Giants have no lost 2 in a row. I hope you guys kept the receipts from earlier when I said that the Giants were getting lucky and not that good. It is showing up big time right now. If the Giants can’t use RB Saquon Barkley every single down, they will lose.

14 – Washington Commanders (7-5)

PR – 16

The Commanders pose the biggest threat to the Giants in terms of getting a Wild Card spot. The Commanders are also very hot right now. RB Brian Robinson and his power running game are keeping the ball with the offense as he gains 3-4 yards per carry and milks the clock. QB of the People, Taylor Heinicke might continue to be the starter as long as the wins keep coming

13 – Los Angeles Chargers (6-5)

PR – NR

I did not write a power rankings article last week because you know… Thanksgiving. But I just wanted to say that I went to Chargers vs Chiefs 2 weeks ago and that crowd was electric. Props to Chargers fans, you guys are great. Now back to football – HC Brandon Staley might need a wheelbarrow to help him move around (are you picking up what I’m putting down?) after that crazy decision to go for the win rather than tie.

12 – New England Patriots (6-5)

PR – 14

Their redzone offense is still terrible but they really hurt themselves with 5 penalties that led to first downs in the loss to the Vikings. QB Mac Jones is starting to get his footing and looks more confident in the pocket with his almost 400 yard passing performance. The Patriots have been known as a defensive team for a long time, but they really need to step up against elite WRs.

11 – Tennessee Titans (7-4)

PR – 11

In 3 of 4 of the games that the Titans lost, RB Derrick Henry did not rush for 100+ yards. 17 rushes for 38 yards… that was his rushing stat line in the loss against the Bengals. That just isn’t going to cut it. They have another tough matchup next week against the Philadelphia Eagles. Remember when WR AJ Brown wanted out for Tennessee then got traded to Philadelphia. Someone get the popcorn, this game could get interesting.

10 – New York Jets (7-4)

PR – 10

Helloooo Mike White. Or maybe I should say welcome back? Either way, the kid came out en fuego. 315 yards passing and 3 TDs while using all of his weapons! He might have the world’s most boring name (right up there next to Mike Brown) but damn can he play football.

9 – Baltimore Ravens (7-4)

PR – 6

I have no idea how the Ravens’ continue to give up 4th quarter leads. This last one against the Jags made it 3. Early on in the season, I made excuses for the Ravens saying its because it was early in the season but now, is it just part of their identity? If so, this is not a contender.

8 – Cincinnati Bengals (7-4)

PR – 12

Yes, I have been talking about how WR Ja’Marr Chase is coming back soon. Yes, I get how that is repetitive BUT it looks like he will be available to play against the Chiefs this weekend! That is a huge boost for the Bengals as the game appears to be a shootout. RB Joe Mixon should be back as well. Looks like the Bengals are getting healthy right when it matters the most

7 – San Francisco 49ers (7-4)

PR – 8

Fun fact – I went to my first ever 49er’s home game last weekend and I may or may not have cried tears of joy. It was amazing. 49ers are hot right now. Winners of 4 straight and boasting a defense that many have touted as one of the best ever. They haven’t given up a 2nd half score since week 7 against the Chiefs.

6 – Miami Dolphins (8-3)

PR – 5

Much like the 49ers, the Dolphins are also red hot. They have been beating up on teams. Except the teams have been the Bears, Browns and Texans… 3 teams who have combined for 8 wins. The real test comes this weekend when the Dolphins explosive offense faces off against the stout 49ers defense. The smack talk has already begun. If you thought AJ Brown playing against the Titans was going to be entertaining, the 49ers/Dolphins matchup is going to be that times 10. It should honestly be featured on TNT because the drama is through the roof.

5 – Buffalo Bills (8-3)

PR – 4

QB Josh Allen and WR Stefon Diggs are good. The Bills offense is good. The Bills defense, mid. In recent week, they lost to the Jets and gave up over 20 points to every team since them. The offense can only carry the load so far. When the defense doesn’t step up, Josh Allen tries to do too much and makes mistakes.

4 – Minnesota Vikings (9-2)

PR – 3

The Vikings have won 8 games that have been decided by 1 possession. Their +/- is +5. There is no sense of dominance with this game. I think this team is lucky much like the Giants were weeks ago. Huge difference between the Giants and Vikings though is that the Vikings have talent. They will not fall as much as the Giants, but they will fall.

3 – Dallas Cowboys (8-3)

PR – 7

Much to me and my fantasy team’s chagrin, RB Ezekiel Elliot is back and producing really well. They currently have the 2nd highest +/- at +92. QB Dak is looking great and they might even have a chance to land free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr.

2 – Philadelphia Eagles (10-1)

PR – 2

Is QB Jalen Hurts the Shohei of the NFL? Probably not but he is breaking records at an insane rate. On Sunday night football, he broke the Eagles’ QB rushing record with 158 yards rushing. He is also the first player in last 30 years to pass for and run for 125 yards in a half. They have started to look a little more beatable since the loss to the Commanders but still manage to pull off close wins.

1 – Kansas City Chiefs (9-2)

PR – 1

The Chiefs are a wagon. 5 straight wins. Ever since QB Patrick Mahomes because the guy, the Chiefs are as consistent as they come. They can throw the ball, they can run the ball. Offensively they are stacked. They may not have the biggest names (outside of Mahomes and Kelce) but they still get it done week in and week out.
