NFL Power Rankings: Week 11

16 – Washington Commanders (5-5)

PR – NR

Not going to lie, I was thoroughly impressed with the Commanders’ win over the previously undefeated Eagles. They had a gameplan and ran it to perfection. They controlled the clock with the run game and when they needed to throw, they found WR Terry McLaurin (who is far and away their best WR). The Commanders’ finding an offensive gameplan that works paired with DE Chase Young making his season debut could make them a problem. Also, QB Taylor Heinicke is a man of the people – keep drinking your Busch Latte’s kid.

15 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5)

PR – 16

The Bucs get to move up 1 spot in the Power Rankings after a win against the Seahawks. TB is now 2-0 since getting divorced. Take from that what you will. After is 250+ yard passing and 2 TD performance, is it safe to say TB12 is back? It might be a little too early but having a stat line like that certainly helps. I do feel bad for all RB Leonard Fournette fantasy owners out there though – RB Rachaad White is here and he is staying in that RB1 role.

14 – New England Patriots (5-4)

PR – 15

The Patriots are coming off a BYE but they get to move up a spot because the Los Angeles Chargers played their way out of the top 16.

13 – Seattle Seahawks (6-4)

PR – 9

The loss to the Bucs really hurts the Seahawks. They are losing their foothold on the top of the NFC West with the 49ers creeping up. The final score can really trick the Seahawks fans out there. The Seahawks were nowhere near competitive until the last 8 minutes of the game. Can we just chalk this up to a bad game from just about everyone? Or are the Seahawks finally showing their true colors?

12 – Cincinnati Bengals (5-4)

PR – 12

Last week I said that the Bengals were coming off a BYE. I was wrong and I apologize. I don’t know how I messed that up so bad. BUT I know for sure (after quadruple checking) that the Bengals are coming off a BYE this week. Kind of copying and pasting what I said last week but WR Ja’Marr Chase is coming back soon!

11 – Tennessee Titans (6-3)

PR – 13

RB Derrick Henry didn’t rush for over 100 yards this week! In fact he only had 53 but the Titans still won! Their passing game finally found its legs as QB Ryan Tannehill threw for 255 yards and 2 TDs.

10 – New York Jets (6-3)

PR – 7

Having the Jets drop this much after a BYE seems a little unfair but the truth is, other teams just jumped right over them with their play. Before the BYE, the Jets had a big win against the Bills. I’m interested to see if they are able to build off that or if the BYE just took all that momentum away.

9 – New York Giants (7-2)

PR – 11

The Giants did what they needed to do against the worst team in the league (Houston Texans). They were able exploit them on the ground with 191 rushing yards as a team. RB Saquon Barkley accounted for 152 of those yards on his own. Like I had mentioned before, the run game for this team has be on for them to win.

8 – San Francisco 49ers (5-4)

PR – 10

With the plethora of offensive options, I was surprised that the 49ers didn’t demolish a depleted LA Chargers team. I mean a win is a win but there was a lot more meat left on the bone there. That elite 49ers defense always seem to turn it on in the 2nd half and honestly are the main reason for the 49ers continued success.

7 – Dallas Cowboys (6-3)

PR – 5

The Cowboys choked. They sold. They were up 28-14 late in the 3rd quarter only to lose to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in OT. If you read my previous rankings, you would know I thought that the Cowboys defense was one of the best in the league. As the season goes on, it is becoming apparent that they are extremely vulnerable on the ground. Let’s see if this trend continues.

6 – Baltimore Ravens (6-3)

PR – 6

Coming off of a BYE last week which seemingly came at the perfect time. There are so many injuries on this Ravens’ squad. The BYE week allowed TE Mark Andrews to be 1 week healthier and has a chance to play this week.

5 – Miami Dolphins (7-3)

PR – 8

The Dolphins are back in the top 5 for the first time since the Tua injury. Their ranking here is well deserved though. Their offense might be the most complete in the NFL. WR Tyreek Hill and WR Jaylen Waddle are incredible field stretchers that doesn’t allow the defense to crowd the box and in turn allow massive running lanes for RB Raheem Mostert and RB Jeff Wilson Jr. Oh, and lets not forget the “most accurate” QB in the league in Tua who is having a career year.

4 – Buffalo Bills (6-3)

PR – 2

A 2 game losing streak is not something the Superbowl hopefuls want. Granted both losses were lost by 3 points, but much like a win is a win, a loss is a loss and that final score is all that matters. So much praise has been given to QB Josh Allen and his mobility and big arm. But his poor decision-making is being magnified as of late. He has to be making better decisions if they want to get back on track.

3 – Minnesota Vikings (8-1)

PR -3

The Vikings are 8-1 and to be honest, I don’t know how. I talk a lot about how this team needs all 4 quarters to win (which is true) but it is becoming clear they need a whole lot of luck too. They were given a chance in the game against the Bills because Josh Allen fumbled in the endzone. Like what?? How often does that happen? Try pretty much never. Very confused on this team. Also hot take – that Justin Jefferson catch that everyone is touting as “Catch of the Year” was very mid in my opinion. The Bills’ CB literally caught that ball for him while Jefferson just wrestled it away at the last second. Catch of the Year? Absolutely not.

2 – Philadelphia Eagles (8-1)

PR – 1

Andddd the Eagles have lost their first game of the season. And it happened much earlier than I thought it would. As I mentioned before, the Commanders had a great gameplan against the Eagles and executed it perfectly. The Eagles didn’t have the ball because the Commanders ran it so much and couldn’t be stopped. The Eagles realized this and promptly signed DT Ndamukong Suh. Good luck trying to run against him.

1 – Kansas City Chiefs (7-2)

PR – 3

I think that the Chief have found the missing link to their offense in RB Isiah Pacheco. This is a fast, big, bruising back that can run between the tackles. It adds an element to this offense that hasn’t been a thing over the last couple of year. Now defenses have to play the run which allows QB Patrick Mahomes to have more time to throw. WR Kadarius Toney looks like a great pick up as well.
