NFL Power Rankings: Week 7

16 – Green Bay Packers (3-3)

PR - 10

Where in the world did Green Bay’s offense go? They only put up 10 points against the Jets. The same Jets team that seemed hellbent on giving opposing teams free points in September. At this point, I don’t know what’s worse – Aaron Rodgers missing routine throws or the 6 drops from his receivers. The Packers need to acquire a veteran WR at the deadline to make any noise this season.

15 – New England Patriots (3-3)

PR - 16

Unfortunately, this is probably the last week for the Patriots rookie 3rd string QB. Remember his name now? Bailey Zappe. He performed admirably over the last 2 games to the tune of 597 yards and 4 touchdowns. And let’s not forget how he won Tradon money. Mac Jones will be back and let’s see how the offense reacts.

 14 – Tennessee Titans (3-2)

PR - 11

The Titans had a BYE last week at a rather unfortunate time in the midst of a 3-game win streak. They have the Colts in week 7 who have been hot as of late.

 13 – Los Angeles Rams (3-3)

PR - NR

Took on the terrible Panthers in week 6. Nothing is going right in Carolina so it would be a concern if the Rams did not pummel them like they did. Matt Stafford finally figured out the Allen Robinson is his teammate and pulled down 5 receptions for 63 yards and a touchdown. They get a BYE in week 7 which gives them time to figure out their offensive line struggles.

 12 – New York Jets (4-2)

PR - 15

The Jets took a page out of Richard Sherman’s rant and ran the ball. They are developing an identity of smashmouth football and running the ball with Breece Hall. QB Zach Wilson doesn’t have to be the guy for this team to win and thank God for that because if he did, then this team wouldn’t be as successful. They also have the highest 4th quarter point differential with +48.

 11 – San Francisco 49ers (3-3)

PR - 7

The 49ers have suffered from injuries yet again. They are literally the least healthy team in league. That being said, they shouldn’t have lost to the Falcons. Too many drops and mental mistakes continue to hamper this squad.

 10 – Los Angeles Chargers (4-2)

PR - 12

It’s a dink and dunk offense for this team. They won against the Broncos in an ugly fashion. Getting Keenan Allen back from his hamstring injury will help this team out tremendously. The defense continues to do its job as it held Russell Wilson to 15 yards in the 2nd half and overtime.

 9 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3)

PR - 6

The Bucs got upset by the Steelers! A Steelers team that had to go back to Mitch Trubisky as its QB! The offensive line continues to struggle. Leonard Fournette can’t get any running room and they can’t protect the 45 year old Tom Brady. TB12 might be the GOAT but with no time to throw, he can’t do a thing.

8 – Baltimore Ravens (3-3)

PR - 5

Last week I thought that the Ravens had conquered their 4th quarter demons. I was wrong. Lamar Jackson fumbled and threw an interception in a critical point in the 4th that led to the Giants victory. Also I have no idea what to make of their backfield. Is it JK Dobbins or Kenyan Drake?

 7 – New York Giants (5-1)

PR - 9

It really pains me to rank the Giants this high but I really need to because of their record. Teams are literally handing them victories. The Giants aren’t doing anything special or good for that matter, they are just getting lucky. But hey, maybe luck is all you need. And Saquon Barkley. You definitely need Saquon Barkley.

 6 – Cincinnati Bengals (3-3)

PR - 14

Oh man, did Joe Shiesty have a game. He ended with 300 yards passing and 3 TDs. The Bengals passing offense finally looks like it did last season! He is finally featuring Ja’Marr Chase more prominently and surprise, surprise – having a healthy Tee Higgins helps the Bengals offense and your fantasy team!

 5 – Dallas Cowboys (4-2)

PR - 4

The biggest defensive weakness for the Cowboys was just exposed – isolate their best defensive player aka Micah Parsons, don’t block him (confusing I know) and then just throw to where he’s not. That’s what the Eagles did and were very successful. On the offensive side, “Just Enough” Cooper Rush did not do enough and took his first loss in his career but Dak is scheduled to be back this week.

 4 – Minnesota Vikings (5-1)

PR - 8

The Vikings beat a depleted Miami Dolphins team in week 6. Although they are 5-1, the offense shows plenty of inconsistency. Dalvin Cook is used to having big running lanes to run through but that has not been the case so far this year. The Vikings have a BYE in week 7 which comes at a great time for the team to figure out the offense.

 3 – Kansas City Chiefs (4-2)

PR - 3

They may have lost to the Bills but man, was it a good game! It wasn’t the shootout that we all expected but it showed that the Chiefs can indeed play some decent defense especially with 2 of their top CBs out with injury. One thing they can improve on is blitz efficiency. There were too many times where the Chiefs blitzed but still left Josh Allen with too much time to throw.

 2 – Buffalo Bills (5-1)

PR - 2

Josh Allen is unstoppable. This like the 4th time I’ve said that, but it doesn’t make it any less true. There were a ton of offensive and defensive miscues in this game that Josh Allen simply just overcame. The Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs connection is just ridiculous.

 1 – Philadelphia Eagles (6-0)

PR - 1

Week 7 is coming up and they are still undefeated. A truly incredible feat. They won week 6 against a gritty Dallas Cowboy defensive squad. Jalen Hurts continues to show improvement in regard to throwing the ball but needs to continue playing in the 2nd half of games. They have scored a measly 35 points in the 2nd half of games compared to 126 in the 1st.
