NFL Power Rankings: Week 4

16 - Dallas Cowboys (2-1)

“America’s Favorite Team” seems to have pulled off the improbable and won 2 games without its franchise quarterback. Cooper Rush looks decent but it’s really the defense that has helped them win the last 2 games. Dak Prescott has a chance to come back in week 5. If that happens, look out world.

15 - Cleveland Browns (2-1)

Jacoby Brissett looks better than Baker Mayfield. Amari Cooper is a legit WR1. Nick Chubb might be the best pure runner in the NFL. If Myles Garrett isn’t out following his horrific car accident, this team has some solid pieces if it can put it together.

14 - Cincinnati Bengals (1-2)

Looking at this team and how they are playing, I have no idea how they made it all the way to the Super Bowl last year. Their one win this year came against the Jets…. They invested so heavily in their offensive line over the offseason but somehow look worse for it. I am so confused. But with the 3 headed WR group of Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, you always have a chance.

13 - San Francisco 49ers (1-2)

Jimmy G obviously didn’t have the best game of his career (1 fumble, 1 interception and 1 safety) but let’s just chalk it up to not having OTAs, training camp and the fact this was his first week with the starting group (I hope I’m right). The 49ers still have an absolutely elite defensive unit that will keep them in games. Jimmy G and the offense just have to do the bare minimum.

12 - Denver Broncos (2-1)

Russ finally got to cook.. kinda. It took until the 4th quarter against the 49ers but we got to see a little bit of vintage Russ come back as he scrambled and made great off schedule throws. Coaching for the Broncos is still a concern but if Hackett lets Russ do Russ things, this team could be going places.

11 - Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1)

Is it time to finally admit that this team has some potential? Doug Pederson should get a Nobel Peace Prize for getting this team to where it is now. Trevor Lawrence looks like the #1 overall pick that he was supposed to be. James Robinson looks great after tearing his Achilles last season. Christian Kirk finally proved that the Jags can spend big money in the offseason and then use him properly.

10 - Minnesota Vikings (2-1)

In week 1, we all touted Kevin O’Connell as the next best young head coach with his ability to get Justin Jefferson in space which in turn led to massive production. Weeks 2 and 3, however, told a different story. Jefferson only has 9 receptions for 62 yards over the last 2 weeks. Dalvin Cook cant seem to get anything going on the ground and the team nearly lost to Jared Goff and the Lions.

9 - Los Angeles Chargers (1-2)

Injuries are the story this week. No idea why Brandon Staley kept an already hurt Justin Herbert in the game when it was already lost especially when they lost star LT Rashawn Slater (biceps – out for season) earlier. Mike Williams continues to follow a great game with a game where he essentially disappears. On the defensive side, Joey Bosa just went on IR with a groin injury which is never good news.

8 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1)

Another team that relies on its defense for success. TB12 is still TB12 but he is also 45 years old, 0% mobile and has a collection of random, thrown together washed out vets for his WRs. Mike Evans needs to stop fighting Marshon Lattimore and Chris Godwin needs to get healthy quick if this team wants any offensive success.

7 - Green Bay Packers (2-1)

A lot of offensive problems that the Bucs have can pretty much be copy and pasted onto here. The biggest difference is that the Packers have a great 1-2 punch at RB with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillion but also have a plethora of young WR that can grow and develop into serviceable WR for an Aaron Rodgers led offense.

6 - Los Angeles Rams (2-1)

Throwing away the week 1 loss to the Bills, the Rams look good except for the fact that they aren’t blowing teams out like they are primed to do. Allen Robinson signed a huge offseason contract but there is 0 chemistry between him and Stafford. They face a top 2 defense in week 4.. the outcome of this game will show the true colors of the Rams.

5 - Baltimore Ravens (2-1)

Lamar Jackson is having a career year. He already has 10 passing touchdowns and has added 243 yards rushing with 2 rushing touchdowns. This man is unstoppable. With the Raven only loss coming against the Dolphins, this team looks poised coming down the stretch.

4 - Kansas City Chiefs (2-1)

Do I hear drama already? Superstar Patrick Mahomes and his OC Eric Bieniemy got into it just before halftime. Its not a good look for the Super Bowl hopeful and it showed as they lost to the lowly Colts.

3 - Buffalo Bills (2-1)

Don’t get it twisted – the Bills might still be the team to beat in the NFL. They showed utter dominance in the first two games but were brought back to earth in the loss against the Dolphins. Had they gotten that spike and field goal the end of the game, this might be a different story.

2 - Miami Dolphins (3-0)

I don’t think any team had as many doubters coming into the season as the Dolphins did. New head coach, doubt in Tua and the scoffs when they traded for Tyreek Hill. It turns out that Mike McDaniel knows exactly what he’s doing with the weapons he has, Tua might be more accurate than Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill is showing he a game changer with any team.

1 - Philadelphia Eagles (3-0)

Hellooooo Jalen Hurts! The next Patrick Mahomes, as Tyler calls him, is in full effect. It turns out he just needed a bonafide WR1 to help him develop. The ascension of Jalen Hurts paired the arrival of AJ Brown is exactly what the city of Philly needed. They play the Jags in week 4 who have the best rushing defense in the league (allowing 55 yards per game). Lets see if Hurts can run through that.
